Tamara Sypult and Karen Rogers began their collaboration while working at world-renowned hospitality firm HBA. Tamara, with an emphasis on FF&E, had been honing her design skills for 15 years at hotels around the world, while Karen, with an expertise in interior architecture, had focused 12 years on developing the American hotel experience, designing properties ranging from impeccably-appointed boutique hotels to multi-dimensional resort convention centers.

In 2004, bound by a shared desire to create an intimate design studio experience where clients are guaranteed to work directly with firm principals, Tamara and Karen founded SRS to ensure their clients felt valued and critical to the process. SRS has been fortunate to be involved in more than 75 successful projects coast to coast from our two studios. Karen leads our Southern California team, while Tamara leads the team in Northern California.
